A little history and how we are repeating it from Eric Heavner

"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear." [Marcus Tullius Cicero]

Eric says:

This perfectly describes the Democrat party. A Roman said this thousands of years ago but the average U.S. citizen is so mired in debt, commercialism, materialism and distraction by televised propaganda and our youth is so swayed by educational liberalization and expectation of government salvation that they can’t muster the intestinal fortitude to even begin to fathom the wisdom above as stated by a man who begged for Rome to return to a Republican government. Alas, he was ignored and thus began the fall of the Roman Empire which was due to immorality, dependence on government to provide for the masses, lack of self control, lack of personal responsibility and apathy towards civic duties and labor. History repeats itself. We are the modern day Roman Empire and we haven’t even seen the tip of the iceberg that is lurking in our society and beneath our economy.

White Guilt is Dead from Eric Heavner

http://www.philly.com/inquirer/opinion/20081109_White_guilt__Done__over__history.html

Also received it from Mike Freeland and Ray Canova.

Oh, if this were only true. Truth is we will never be over race until we are all mocha colored.

Wonder why?

Stop and listen to all the pundits, that tell us we should not consider race, talk about the election. It is almost inevitable that they can't mention Hussein without mentioning he is the first colored President. So they will never let it go.

Why do I say colored? I am just trying to be politically correct. As soon as the NAACP changes their name I will jump on board.

Who wants Ice Cream? from Skip Morgan

Subject: Civics Lesson (Author unknown)

The most eye-opening civics lesson I ever had was while teaching third grade in 2000. The presidential election was heating up and some of the children showed an interest. I decided we would have an election for a class president. We would choose our nominees. They would make a campaign speech and the class would vote.

To simplify the process, candidates were nominated by other class members. We discussed what kinds of characteristics these students should have. We got many nominations and from those, Jamie and Olivia were picked to run for the top spot.

The class had done a great job in their selections. Both candidates were good kids. I thought Jamie might have an advantage because he got lots of parental support. I had never seen Olivia's mother.

The day arrived when they were to make their speeches Jamie went first. He had specific ideas about how to make our class a better place. He ended by promising to do his very best. Every one applauded. He sat down and Olivia came to the podium.

Her speech was concise. She said, 'If you will vote for me, I will give you ice cream.' She sat down.

The class went wild. 'Yes! Yes! We want ice cream.'

She surely would say more. She did not have to. A discussion followed. How did she plan to pay for the ice cream? She wasn't sure. Would her parents buy it or would the class pay for it? She didn't know. The class really didn't care. All they were thinking about was ice cream. Jamie was forgotten. Olivia won by a land slide.

Every time Barack Obama opens his mouth he offers ice cream, and 60% percent of America reacts like nine year olds. They want ice cream. The other 40% percent know they're going to have to feed the cow.

Musings after the election from Mark

This just in..... The Democrats only need 58 Senate seats to be filibuster proof. You can always count on John McClueless and Little Lindsay Graham to cross the aisle and give them the two they don't have.

I have said this many times but hadn't written it yet. Count on Hussein to bring McClueless in to author the McCain some Democrat Dumb Ass Bill to give illegal aliens amnesty.

I fully expect the press to resurrect Johnny McClueless. He will soon regain his Rock Star status as he takes on the Republicans. Time for Arizona to retire his old liberal butt.

I knew the Press / Democrats would be complicit in trying to take down Sarah, but I am ashamed to see the McCluess campaign staffers join in.

Notice how most of the liberal big spending Republicans were defeated. Hmmmm

Did you know the stock market is forward looking, usually six to nine months? Makes you think about all those polls saying Obama would win. The market is down only 900 points give or take a few since The Messiah won.

Emily Raible Rants

I can't even begin to convey how exceptionally bad today has been. I'm really trying not to panic or go into the depths of despair, but it's a real challenge.
I am admittedly a "glass half empty" type of person by nature, but with Obama winning....well my glass is not only totally empty, but broken into a million pieces on the floor.
It grieves me to know that the majority of this country that I love, and my husband has a hand in protecting, voted this man into office.
I'm very fearful of what is to come in the next 4 years. Hopefully I'll be wrong, and I pray that I am, but if I'm not then we are in for extremely hard times.
We will be put to the test economically, socially, morally, and maybe most importantly our national security will be put to the test like never before.
I personally have zero confidence in Obama as a leader. His entire campaign was based on lies, half truths, trickery, and preying on the fact that young Americans have become little more than lemmings willing to follow the vast majority right over a cliff.
I realize that this may offend some people, even people whom I call friends, but I have just as much right to speak my mind as anyone else, even if it's not a popular line of thought. Obama preaches hope, but all I'm left with is dysphoria.

I have only one thing to say to Emily. 1994 Contract with America.

Twas the night before Elections... sent in by Katie Sheriff

Twas the night before elections
And all through the town
Tempers were flaring
Emotions all up and down!
I, in my bathrobe
With a cat in my lap
Had cut off the TV
Tired of political crap.
When all of a sudden
There arose such a noise
I peered out of my window
Saw Obama and his boys
They had come for my wallet
They wanted my pay
To give to the others
Who had not worked a day!
He snatched up my money
And quick as a wink
Jumped back on his bandwagon
As I gagged from the stink
He then rallied his henchmen
Who were pulling his cart
I could tell they were out
To tear my country apart!
On Fannie, on Freddie,
On Biden and Ayers!
On Acorn, On Pelosi'
He screamed at the pairs!
They took off for his cause
And as he flew out of sight
I heard him laugh at the nation
Who wouldn't stand up and fight!
So I leave you to think
On this one final note-
If you don't want socialism
GET OUT AND VOTE!!!!
