- This blog started out as a rant against a disloyal Republican. I was proud to vote for Ronald Reagan. I was happy to vote for little Bush the 1st time and was dumbfounded when he turned over the "No Child Left Behind" bill to Teddy "The Lifeguard" Kennedy. Even MaryJo hasn't voted for him in years. I believe the death penalty should be run like a barbershop with two chairs no waiting. I think we should offer to tie the tubes of every welfare mom as she gives birth. I think there should be a weight limit on food stamps. I belive the USA is circleing the porcelain drain. If you have kids you may want to think about an exit stategy. As for me I'll stay and fight for freedom and the constitution we haven't used in years. The current crop of Republicans are Democrat light so they get skewered here as often as the libs. I left the world of stupid corporate decisions December 31, 2007. Had 25 + years in medical sales the last 20 at Mallinckrodt/ Tyco/ Covidien as the company was sold. I consider myself more of a Libertarian than a Republican but always a Conservative. Come join me in the world of common sense God knows there is plenty of room in here for one more.

We have plenty more liberal rags in broadcast news to deal with. I don't consider (or ever considered) CNN as a hero of journalism...you know reporting the news without the bias and spin!
We also have enough liberal newspaper rags such as The Charlotte Observer to deal with. I took Journalism and what happens today in the news is not Journalism.
They want to stop Fox News because they are afraid that one of the Obama followers will watch Fox and come out from under the intense fog they have been since Obama was nominated to run for President.
If all issues were black or white,it would seem someone would look at the people that Obama associates with, the corrupt past he has, the corruptness in his administration and just admit...that's just not right for We The People of The USA. People actually make excuses for Obama with star dust in their clouded eyes.
I never knew you were a reporter until I read your LBJ comment above. You must not have drunk the Kool-Aide like most.
Being a reporter during Vietnam was one of the most interesting jobs I think I've ever had! I saw boys come and boys go and then of course those who never returned except in a box. I'm extremely sensitive about The Vietnam War. Not the burn my bra sensitive or anti-war activist activity but just loved our troops and HATED the way most people treated them.
After growing up with parents that swore their allegiance to The Democrats, I went to college and it was there that I found all my brain cells and realized I could never drink the Kool-Aid. I found my conservative self and have never lost it. Thank God for that! I've had discussions with liberals all my life and I'll be darn if I can figure out what they are thinking. It's like communicating to a wall and they feel so sorry for all the welfare people, illegal aliens (I call them) and they just love big government! I made reference in another blog on Al Gore and Joe Biden making great bookends on an obscure mantel. I've had another revelation...Obama and Nancy Pelosi book ends in Siberia! Wonder if they'll accept a ticket, they accept everything else they can get their hands on.
