Just when I had given up hope on my good friends Killer and Barb (Kelly and Barbara), Barb sends me this email.

I don't know who Bill Brown is or if he even exists, but this is a very nice compilation of Barack's positions.

* He voted against banning partial birth abortion. (Most Americans think taking a baby to term and then killing it should be banned but not the Democrats in the US Senate.)

* He voted no on notifying parents of minors who get out-of-state abortions. (WHY?)

* Supports affirmative action in Colleges and Government.

* In 2001 he questioned harsh penalties for drug dealing. (WHY?)

* Says he will deal with street level drug dealing as minimum wage affair. (For real ?) (I don't even know what this means.)

* Admitted marijuana and cocaine use in high school and in college.

* His religious convictions are very murky. (Actually I thought they were pretty clear. You can check out some earlier blogs here to get an idea.)

* He is willing to meet with Fidel Castro, Hugo Chavez, Kim Jung Il and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. (WHY?)

* Has said that one of his first goals after being elected would be to have a conference with all Muslim nations. (WHY?)

* Opposed the Patriot Act. (Said listening in on AlQuida's international phone calls was taking away Americans rights)

* First bill he signed that was passed was campaign finance reform. (McCain Feingold, how did that work out big John.)

* Voted No on prohibiting law suits against gun manufacturers. (That's like suing General Motors for Drunk Drivers.)

* Supports universal health-care. (Where will the Canadians go for for their medical needs then?)

* Voted yes on providing habeas corpus for Guantanamo detainees. (That's rights to our court system for AlQuida and Iraqi combatants for those of you in Rio Linda, now I say shoot them on the battlefield because the Democrats and McDumb-ss won't extract information from them and we don't need them tying up a court system that could be trying OJ Simpson and setting him free.)

* Supports granting driver's licenses to illegal immigrants. (That would make them legal.)

* Supports extending welfare to illegal immigrants. (Who pays for it?) (Well you and your children and grandchildren will.)

* Voted yes on comprehensive immigration reform. (That's Amnesty for Illegal Aliens again for those of you in Rio Linda.)

* Voted yes on allowing illegal aliens to participate in Social Security. (Who pays for it?) (Well you and your children will.)

* Wants to make the minimum wage a "living wage". (Your kids will never get a job and most small businesses will cease to exist. The double cheese burger at McDonald's will go from a dollar to six dollars.)

* Voted with Democratic Party 96 percent of 251 votes.

* Is a big believer in the separation of church and state. (Frankly I don't see a problem here.)

* Opposed to any efforts to Privatize Social Security and instead supports increasing the amount of tax paid. (WHY????)

* He voted No on repealing the Alternative Minimum Tax. (Stay in the middle class long enough and you too will get to participate in the AMT. That'll wipe that smile off your face.

* He voted No on repealing the "Death" Tax. (WHY?) (Because the Federal Government is entitled to what you worked so hard for, not your kids, you ungrateful knucklehead.)

* He wants to raise the Capital Gains Tax. (Actually he will probably let the Bush tax cut "Sunset" effectively raising the tax from 15% to 30%. If you own stocks, bonds or real estate you get to pay the government double for the risk you took. I'd say that's fair.)

* Has repeatedly said the surge in Iraq has not succeeded....(Is he for real?)

* He is ranked as the most liberal Senator in the Senate today and that takes some doing. (I hear Teddy "The Lifeguard" Kennedy is steamed.)

If your political choices are consistent with Barack Obama's and you think that his positions will bring America together or make it a better place, then you will probably enjoy the ride.

If you are like most Americans that after examining what he stands for, are truly not in line with his record, it would be prudent to get off the wave or better yet, never get on, before it comes on shore and undermines the very foundations of this great Country. We have limited time to save America or the Supreme Court as we know it.


Inaction is action.

Now a little background on me and Bobby Lee. We roomed together and were Fraternity Brothers in college.

I am pretty sure Bobby Lee voted for Reagan.

We had one semester when we would get up after a night of partying and hustle to the PFM commuter cafeteria which stayed open til three in the afternoon. We would cash in our meal cards for food and then we wood head to the Winn Dixie to buy beer for the afternoon. Then we would find a house party or Fraternity party to go and start the whole cycle over again.

I believe this was when my Dad told my brother Steven he didn't need to go to college, your brother can teach you how to throw the frisbee.

Well in this semester we didn't pull a cumulative 2.0 and I had a 1.2.

I can't help but believe this must have been the semester Bobby Lee took economics.

Update to this post. A late afternoon fact checking phone call with Bobby Lee Bollinger Jr. Esq. confirmed that he was indeed in economics that semester. In fact as he came to UNCC as a transfer student he admitted he was in Economics that semester and every semester because he couldn't ever pass it.

Again I rest my case.

ENVIRONMENT campaigner Al Gore is using more electricity than ever, despite pledging to cut consumption more than a year ago.

According to the Tennessee Centre for Policy Research, the annual electricity usage at the former US vice-president's home in Nashville, Tennessee, has risen by 10 per cent, The Australian reports.

Mr Gore's environmental activism inspired the Oscar-winning documentary An Inconvenient Truth. But the TCPR branded him a "hypocrite" in February last year after discovering that his eight-bathroom house had consumed nearly 221,000 kilowatt hours of electricity in the previous year - more than 20 times the national average.

Mr Gore responded by saying he was giving the house a energy-efficient makeover, fitting solar panels, low-energy light bulbs and a geothermal heating and cooling system.

However, the TCPR has got hold of his bill again, this time comparing consumption between the 12 months before June last year, when it says he installed his new technology, and the year since then.

Al Gore's Electric Bill

In the wake of Al Gore's Oscar win on Monday night, some folks over at the Tennessee Center for Policy Research decided to have some fun at the former Vice President's expense by printing a detailed analysis of the electric use at his Nashville home:

Gore’s mansion, located in the posh Belle Meade area of Nashville, consumes more electricity every month than the average American household uses in an entire year, according to the Nashville Electric Service (NES).

In his documentary, the former Vice President calls on Americans to conserve energy by reducing electricity consumption at home.

The average household in America consumes 10,656 kilowatt-hours (kWh) per year, according to the Department of Energy.

In 2006, Gore devoured nearly 221,000 kWh—more than 20 times the national average.

Last August alone, Gore burned through 22,619 kWh—guzzling more than twice the electricity in one month than an average American family uses in an entire year.

As a result of his energy consumption, Gore’s average monthly electric bill topped $1,359.

Since the release of An Inconvenient Truth, Gore’s energy consumption has increased from an average of 16,200 kWh per month in 2005, to 18,400 kWh per month in 2006.

Gore’s extravagant energy use does not stop at his electric bill. Natural gas bills for Gore’s mansion and guest house averaged $1,080 per month last year.

“As the spokesman of choice for the global warming movement, Al Gore has to be willing to walk the walk, not just talk the talk, when it comes to home energy use,” said Tennessee Center for Policy Research President Drew Johnson.

In total, Gore paid nearly $30,000 in combined electricity and natural gas bills for his Nashville estate in 2006. Wow.

Gore fired back this morning through the progressive politics site, Think Progress, noting that he and his family try to soften the impact of their electricity use by purchasing green power and buying carbon offsets.

All I could think when I saw the original note is how much larger Gore's carbon footprint would have been if he had lived in a state that gets generates less of its electricity from nuclear energy?

After all, Tennessee gets 28.6% of its electricity from nuclear energy (PDF), almost 10% more than the national average.Plenty of folks are unconvinced at the sincerity of his response.

As for me, I just think this whole episode points out how difficult it's really going to be to cut carbon emissions while continuing to provide reliable and affordable electricity.

A young woman was about to finish her first year of college. Like so many others her age, she considered herself to be a very liberal Democrat, and among other liberal ideals, was very much in favor of higher taxes to support more government programs, in other words redistribution of wealth.

She was deeply ashamed that her father was a rather staunch Republican, a feeling she openly expressed. Based on the lectures that she had participated in, and the occasional chat with a professor, she felt that her father had for years harbored an evil, selfish desire to keep what he thought should be his.

One day she was challenging her father on his opposition to higher taxes on the rich and the need for more government programs. The self-professed objectivity proclaimed by her professors had to be the truth and she indicated so to her father. He responded by asking how she was doing in school.

Taken aback, she answered rather haughtily that she had a 4.0 GPA, and let him know that it was tough to maintain, insisting that she was taking a very difficult course load and was constantly studying, which left her no time to go out and party like other people she knew. She didn't even have time for a boyfriend, and didn't really have many college friends because she spent all her time studying.

Her father listened and then asked, 'How is your friend Audrey doing?' She replied, 'Audrey is barely getting by. All she takes are easy classes, she never studies, and she barely has a 2.0 GPA. She is so popular on campus; college for her is a blast. She's always invited to all the parties and lots of times she doesn't even show up for classes because she's too hung over.'

Her wise father asked his daughter, 'Why don't you go to the Dean's office and ask him to deduct 1.0 off your GPA and give it to your friend who only has a 2.0. That way you will both have a 3.0 GPA and certainly that would be a fair and equal distribution of GPA.'

The daughter, visibly shocked by her father's suggestion, angrily fired back, 'That's a crazy idea, and how would that be fair! I've worked really hard for my grades! I've invested a lot of time, and a lot of hard work! Audrey has done next to nothing toward her degree. She played while I worked my tail off!'

The father slowly smiled, winked and said gently, 'Welcome to the Republican party.'

If anyone has a better explanation of the difference between Republican and Democrat I'm all ears.

We now see that the Clintons have found a new level of success in cashing in on the presidency, resulting in untold wealth.

Today, many in Congress also have found a way to become quite wealthy while enjoying the fruits of their offices.

Political offices are now for sale.

Was good old Harry Truman correct when he observed, 'My choice early in life was either to be a piano player in a whorehouse or a politician. And to tell the truth, there's hardly any difference.

I, for one, believe the piano player job to be much more honorable than current politicians.

Do you know how to catch wild pigs?

You catch wild pigs by finding a suitable place in the woods and putting corn on the ground. The pigs find it and begin to come every day to eat the free corn. When they are used to coming every day, you put a fence down one side of the place where they are used to coming. When they get used to the fence, they begin to eat the corn again and you put up another side of the fence. They get used to that and start to eat again.
You continue until you have all four sides of the fence up with a gate in the last side. The pigs, which are used to the free corn, start to come through the gate to eat. You slam the gate on them and catch the whole herd. Suddenly the wild pigs have lost their freedom. They run around and around inside the fence, but they are caught.

Soon they go back to eating the free corn. They become used to it and forget how to forage in the woods for themselves, so they accept their captivity.

That is exactly what we see happening in America. The government keeps pushing us toward Communism/Socialism and keeps spreading the free corn out in the form of programs such as supplemental income, tax credit for unearned income, tobacco subsidies, dairy subsidies, payments not to plant crops, welfare, medicine, drugs, free medical, etc. while we continually lose our freedoms - just a little at a time.

One should always remember that there is no such thing as a free lunch and government will never provide a service for you cheaper than you can do it yourself. If you see that all of this wonderful government 'help' is a problem confronting the future of democracy in America, you might want to send this on to your friends.

If you think the free ride is essential to your way of life then you will probably, foolishly, delete this e-mail. God help you when the gate slams shut.

The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter. The grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away. Come winter, the ant is warm and well fed. The grasshopper has no food or shelter, so he dies out in the cold.

MORAL OF THE STORY: Be responsible for yourself!

MODERN VERSION:

The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter. The grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away. Come winter, the shivering grasshopper calls a press conference and demands to know why the ant should be warm and well fed while others are cold and starving.

CBS, NBC, PBS, CNN, and ABC show up to provide pictures of the shivering grasshopper next to a video of the ant in his comfortable home with a table filled with food.

America is stunned by the sharp contrast. How can this be, that in a country of such wealth, this poor grasshopper is allowed to suffer so? Kermit the Frog appears on Oprah with the grasshopper, and everybody cries when they sing, 'It's Not Easy Being Green.'

Jesse Jackson stages a demonstration in front of the ant's house where the news stations film the group singing, 'We shall overcome. Jesse then has the group kneel down to pray to God for the grasshopper's sake.

Nancy Pelosi, Barack Obama, John Kerry & Harry Reid exclaim in an interview with Larry King that the ant has gotten rich off the back of the grasshopper, and both call for an immediate tax hike on the ant to make him pay his fair share.

Finally, the EEOC drafts the Economic Equity and Anti-Grasshopper Act retroactive to the beginning of the summer!

The ant is fined for failing to hire a proportionate number of green bugs and, having nothing left to pay his retroactive taxes, his home is confiscated by the government.

Hillary Clinton gets her old law firm to represent the grasshopper in a defamation suit against the ant, and the case is tried before a panel of federal judges that Bill Clinton appointed from a list of single-parent welfare recipients.

The ant loses the case.

The story ends as we see the grasshopper finishing up the last bits of the ant's food while the government house he is in, which just happens to be the ant's old house, crumbles around him because he doesn't maintain it.

The ant has disappeared in the snow. The grasshopper is found dead in a drug related incident and the house, now abandoned, is taken over by a gang of spiders who terrorize the once peaceful neighborhood.

MORAL OF THE STORY: Be very careful how you vote in 2008

A Fix for Health Care and Illegal Immigration

Politicians constantly run around complaining about the high cost of health care and how we can't round up the illegal aliens.

Well I have an idea of how we can lower future health care costs and get rid of the sick illegals.

Post an ICE agent in every hospital. Give everyone the same treatment and when it comes time to check out you have to prove citizenship.

If you can't prove you are here legally the ICE agent starts deportation proceedings.

This removes future pressure on the health care system and starts to take back your country.

Let's pay everyone including Obama who's family actually owned slaves a million dollars subjected to the tax laws on the books today.

The million dollars would be taxed at the rate of 35% in the maximum bracket reducing the award to $650,000 based on the current federal tax. Then the state of NC would take 7.5%. You fill in the blank for your state. That will reduce it to $575,000. Since reparations are based on the using the services of others as contract workers not corporations, they will unfortunately be responsible for both sides of Social Security costing another 12.4% reducing it to $451,000. So in reality we can end this whole deal with relatively little cost.

So on April 15, 2009, every black person will switch to the Republican party where they belong. Remember who gave them civil rights and who freed them from slavery. It wasn't the Democrats folks.

If McCain proposes it, that idiot will also end slavery for 90% of the blacks in this country who are enslaved by the democrat party and their giveaways. He will also beat the other white guy, Obama for the presidency.

Fred published a weekly online column in which he got to say the things his editors would never, ever have let him write in the paper. Slavery Reparations

On the Web I find that Henry Louis Gates Jr., the chairman of Afro-American Studies at Harvard, is demanding that whites pay reparations to blacks.

It's because of slavery, see. He is joined in this endeavor by a gaggle of other professional blacks.

I guess he'll send me a bill, huh?

I feel like saying, "Let me get this straight, Hank. I'm slow. Be patient. You want free money because of slavery, right? I don't blame you."

I'd like free money too. Tell you what. I believe in justice. I'll give you a million dollars for every slave I own, and another million for every year you were a slave. Fair enough? But tell me, how many slaves do you suppose I have? In round numbers, I mean... Say to the nearest dozen. And how long were you a slave?

Oh. In other words, I owe you reparations for something that I didn't do and didn't happen to you. That makes sense. Like lug nuts on a birthday cake.

Personally, I think you owe me reparations for things you didn't do and never happened to me. I've never been coated in Dutch chocolate and thrown from the Eiffel Tower. I'll bet you've never done it to anyone. I want reparations.

Kind of silly, isn't it? But if we're going to talk about reparations, that's a street that runs in two directions. You want money from me for what some other whites did to some other blacks in another century.

How about you guys paying whites reparations for current expenses caused by blacks? Not long ago blacks burned down half of Los Angeles, a city in my country.

Cities are expensive, Hank. Build one sometime and you'll see what I mean.

Whites had to pay taxes to repair Los Angeles for you. You can send me a check. Now, yes, I know you burned LA because you didn't like the verdict in the trial of those police officers. Well, I didn't like the verdict in the Simpson trial. But I didn't burn my house and loot Korean grocers.

Over the years blacks have burned a lot of American cities: Newark, Detroit, Watts, on and on.

Now add in the fantastic cost over the years of welfare in all its forms, of large police forces and jails and security systems in department stores.

I can't live in the capital city of my own country because of crime committed by blacks.

Toss in the cultural cost of lowering standards in everything for the benefit of blacks. See what I mean?

Now, I'd view things differently if you said, "Fred, blacks can't get anywhere in a modern country without education. We know that. We need better schools, smarter teachers, harder courses, books with smaller pictures and bigger words. Can you help us?"

I'd say, "Hallelujah! Hoo-ahh! Not just yes, but hell yes.

Let's sell an aircraft carrier and get these folks some real schools and get them into the economic main-stream." I'd say it partly because it would be the right thing to do, and partly, because I'd like to add you guys to the tax base.

The current custodial state is expensive. I'd just love for blacks to study and learn to compete and stop burning places. But is it going to happen?

You may not believe it, but I, and most whites, don't like seeing blacks as miserable and screwed up as they are. I spend a fair amount of time in the projects. Those places are ugly. It's no fun watching perfectly good kids turn into semi-literate dope dealers who barely speak English.

It just plain ain't right. But, Hank, what am I supposed to do about it? I can't do your children's homework. At some point, people have to do things for themselves, or they don't get done.

Maybe it's time. I'll tell you what I see out in the world, Hank... I think blacks are too accustomed to getting anything they want by just demanding it. True, it has worked for over half a century. Get a few hundred people in the street, implicitly threaten to loot and burn, holler about slavery, and the Great White Cash Spigot turns on.

Thing is, whites don't much buy it any longer. Most recognize that what once was a civil-rights movement has become a shakedown game.

Few people still feel responsible for the failings and inadequacies of blacks. Political correctness keeps the lid on -- but everyone knows the score.

Which scares me, Hank. On one hand, blacks hate whites and incline toward looting and burning. (The whites you hate are the ones who marched in the civil-rights movement. Ever think about that?)

On the other hand, whites quietly grow wearier and wearier of it. Not good. On the third hand (allow me three hands, for rhetorical convenience), blacks keep demanding things.

As I write, you demand reparations for slavery. Blacks in Oklahoma (I think it was) want money for some ancient race riot. Other blacks reject the Declaration of Independence, blacks in New York hint broadly at burning and looting over a trial, yet more demand the elimination of the Confederate flag, and the federal equal opportunity apparatus, which means blacks, wants to sue Silicon Valley for not hiring nonexistent black engineers.

That's a lot of demanding for one month, Hank. What happens if whites ever say, "No"?

Now, how about you? You've got a cushy job up there at Harvard, and you can hoot and holler about what swine and bandits whites are.

I guess it's lots of fun, and you get a salary for it. But don't you think you might do blacks more good if you told them to complain less and study more?

For example, if you want blacks to work in Silicon Gulch, the best approach might be to find some really smart black guys, and get them to study digital design, not Black Studies. That's how everybody else does it.

It works. Then blacks wouldn't feel left out, and racial tensions would decline.

Sound like a plan?

Just out of curiosity, how many hours a week do professors of Afro-American Studies spend in the projects, encouraging poor black kids to study real life sho-nuf subjects.

Why pick on American Companies? Many of the folks think they are getting back at the big oil company actually are the owners in mutual funds of Exxon. It may be one of the few winners in their portfolio now. So they may actually be screwing themselves. A better recommendation would be to invest in Exxon and encourage your friends to shop there. When Senator Ted Kennedy was merely just another Democrat bloating on Capitol Hill on behalf of liberal causes, it was perhaps excusable to ignore his deplorable past. But now that he has become the leading Democrat attack dog, positioning himself as Washington's leading arbiter of truth and integrity, the days for such indulgence are now over. It's time for good Americans to stand up and remind our countrymen why this man had to abandon his own presidential bid in 1980.

It's time to say the words "Mary Jo Kopechne" out loud. As is often the case, Republicans have deluded themselves into thinking that most Americans already know the story of how the "Conscience of the Democrat Party" left Miss Kopechne behind to die in the waters underneath the Edgartown, Massachusetts, Bridge on July 17th, 1969 after a night of drinking and partying with the young blond campaign worker.

But most Americans under 40 have never heard that story, or the details of how Kennedy swam to safety, and then tried to get his cousin Joe Garghan to say he, Garghan, was behind the wheel.

Those young voters don't know how Miss Kopechne, trapped inside Kennedy's Oldsmobile, gasped for air until she finally died (some medical experts saying two and one-half hours later), while this leading Democrat Iraq war critic rushed back to his family's compound to formulate the best alibi he could think of.

Do they know that she was pregnant with Dipsh_ts offspring you definitely don't want to be their enemy. Nor does Generation X know how Kennedy was thrown out of Harvard on his ear 15 years earlier for paying a fellow student to take his Spanish final. Nor why the US Army denied him a commission because he cheated on tests.

As they listen to the Democrats' "Liberal Lion" accuse President Bush of "telling lie after lie after lie" to get America to go to war in Iraq, young voters don't know about that notorious 1991 Easter weekend in Palm Beach, when Uncle Teddy rounded up his nephews for a night on the town, an evening that ended with one of them credibly accused of rape.

It's time for Republicans and Democrats with a soul to state unabashedly that they will no longer "go along with the gag" when it comes to Uncle Ted's rants about deception and moral turpitude inside the Bush White House. And if the Republicans don't, let's do it ourselves by passing this forgotten disgrace around the Internet to wake up memories of what a fraud and fake Teddy really is. Our country is now facing the most serious threat to its existence, as we know it, that we have faced in your lifetime and mine (which includes WWII). The deadly seriousness is greatly compounded by the fact that there are very few of us who think we can possibly lose this war and even fewer who realize what losing really means.

First, let's examine a few basics:

1. When did the threat to us start?Many will say September 11, 2001 . The answer as far as the United States is concerned is 1979, 22 years prior to September 2001, with the following attacks on us:* Iran Embassy Hostages, 1979;* Beirut, Lebanon Embassy, 1983; * Beirut, Lebanon Marine Barracks, 1983; * Lockerbie , Scotland Pan-Am flight to New York 1988; * First New York World Trade Center attack 1993;* Dhahran , Saudi Arabia Khobar Towers Military complex 1996* Nairobi , Kenya US Embassy 1998; * Dares Salaam , Tanzania US Embassy 1998; * A! den, Yemen USS Cole 2000;* New York World Trade Center 2001;* Pentagon 2001.(Note that during the period from 1981 to 2001 there were 7,581 terrorist attacks worldwide.)

2. Why were we attacked? Envy of our position, our success, and our freedoms. The attacks happened during the administrations of Presidents Carter, Reagan, Bush 1, Clinton and Bush 2. We cannot fault either the Republicans or Democrats as there were no provocations by any of the presidents or their immediate predecessor, President Ford.

3. Who were the attackers?In each case, the attacks on the US were carried out by Muslims.

4. What is the Muslim population of the World?25%.

5. Isn't the Muslim Religion peaceful?Hopefully, but that is really not material. There is no doubt that the predominately Christian population of Germany was peaceful, but under the dictatorial leadership of Hitler (who was also Christian (?)), that made no difference. You either went along with the administration or you were eliminated. There were 5 to 6 million Christians killed by the Nazis for political reasons (including 7,000 Polish priests). Thus, almost the same number of Christians were killed by the Nazis, as the six million holocaust Jews who were killed by them, and we seldom heard of anything other than the Jewish atrocities. Although Hitler kept the world focused on the Jews, he had no hesitancy about killing anyone who got in his way of exterminating the Jews or of taking over the world - German, Christian or any others. Same with the Muslim terrorists. They focus the world on the US , but kill all in the way -- their own people or the Spanish, British, French or anyone else. The point here is that just like the peaceful Germans were of no protection to anyone from the Nazis, no matter how many peaceful Muslims there may be, they are no protection for us from the terrorist Muslim leaders and what they are fanatically bent on doing -- by their own pronouncements -- killing all of us "infidels." I don't blame the peaceful Muslims. What would you do if the choice was shut up or die?

6. So who are we at war with?There is no way we can honestly respond that it is anyone other than the Muslim terrorists. Trying to be politically correct and avoid verbalizing this conclusion can well be fatal. There is no way to win if you don't clearly recognize and articulate who you are fighting.

So with that background, now to the two major questions:

1. Can we lose this war?

2. What does losing really mean?

If we are to win, we must clearly answer these two pivotal questions:We can definitely lose this war, and as anomalous as it may sound, the major reason we can lose is that so many of us simply do not fathom the answer to the second question - What does losing mean? It would appear that a great many of us think that losing the war means hanging our heads, bringing the troops home and going on about our business, like post-Vietnam. This is as far from the truth as one can get. What losing really means is:We would no longer be the premier country in the world. The attacks will not subside, but rather will steadily increase. Remember, they want us dead, not just quiet. If they had just wanted us quiet, they would not have produced an increasing series of attacks against us, over the past 18 years. The plan was, clearly, for terrorists to attack us until we were neutered and submissive to them. We would, of course, have no future support from other nations, for fear of reprisals and for the reason that they would see; we are impotent and cannot help them. They will pick off the other non-Muslim nations, one at a time. It will be increasingly easier for them.

They already hold Spain hostage. It doesn't matter whether it was right or wrong for Spain to withdraw its troops from Iraq . Spain did it because the Muslim terrorists bombed their train and told them to withdraw the troops. Anything else they want Spain to do will be done. Spain is finished.

The next will probably be France . Our one hope on France is that they might see the light and realize that if we don't win, they are finished too, in that they can't resist the Muslim terrorists without us. However, it may already be too late for France . France is already 20% Muslim and fading fast!Without our support Great Britain will go too.

Recently I read that there are more mosques in England than churches.If we lose the war, our production, income, exports and way of life will all vanish as we know it. After losing, who would trade or deal with us if they were threatened by the Muslims. If we can't stop the Muslim terrorists, how could anyone else?

The radical Muslims fully know what is riding on this war, and therefore are completely committed to winning, at any cost. We better know it too and be likewise committed to winning at any cost. Why do I go on at such lengths about the results of losing? Simple. Until we recognize the costs of losing, we cannot unite and really put 100% of our thoughts and efforts into winning. And it is going to take that 100% effort to win. So, how can we lose the war?Again, the answer is simple. We can lose the war by "imploding." That is, defeating ourselves by refusing to recognize the enemy and their purpose, and really digging in and lending full support to the war effort. If we are united, there is no way that we can lose. If we continue to be divided, there is no way that we can win!

Let me give you a few examples of how we simply don't comprehend the life and death seriousness of this situation.President Bush selects Norman Mineta as Secretary of Transportation. Although all of the terrorist attacks were committed by Muslim men between 17 and 40 years of age, Secretary Mineta refuses to allow profiling. Does that sound like we are taking this thing seriously?

This is war! For the duration, we are going to have to give up some of the civil rights we have become accustomed. We had better be prepared to lose some of our civil rights temporarily or we will most certainly lose all of them permanently. And don't worry that it is a slippery slope. We gave up plenty of civil rights during WWII, and immediately restored them after the victory and in fact added many more since then.

Do I blame President Bush or President Clinton before him?No, I blame us for blithely assuming we can maintain all of our Political Correctness, and all of our civil rights during this conflict and have a clean, lawful, honorable war. None of those words apply to war. Get them out of your head. Some have gone so far in their criticism of the war and/or the Administration that it almost seems they would literally like to see us lose. I think some actually do, I hasten to add that this isn't because they are disloyal. It is because they just don't recognize what losing means. Nevertheless, that conduct gives the impression to the enemy that we are divided and weakening. It concerns our friends, and it does great damage to our cause.

Of more recent vintage, the uproar fueled by the politicians and media regarding the treatment of some prisoners of war, perhaps exemplifies best what I am saying. We have recently had an issue, involving the treatment of a few Muslim prisoners of war, by a small group of our military police. These are the type prisoners who just a few months ago were throwing their own people off buildings, cutting off their hands, cutting out their tongues and otherwise murdering their own people just for disagreeing with Saddam Hussein. And just a few years ago these same type prisoners chemically killed 400,000 of their own people for the same reason. They are also the same type of enemy fighters, who recently were burning Americans, and dragging their charred corpses through the streets of Iraq . And still more recently, the same type of enemy that was and is providing videos to all news sources internationally, of the beheading of American prisoners they held. Compare this with some of our press and politicians, who for several days have thought and talked about nothing else but the "humiliating" of some Muslim prisoners -- not burning them, not dragging their charred corpses through the streets, not beheading them, but "humiliating" them. Can they be for real?

The politicians and pundits have even talked of impeachment of the Secretary of Defense. If this doesn't show the complete lack of comprehension and understanding of the seriousness of the enemy we are fighting, the life and death struggle we are in and the disastrous results of losing this war, nothing can. To bring our country to a virtual political standstill over this prisoner issue makes us look like Nero playing his fiddle as Rome burned -- totally oblivious to what is going on in the real world. Neither we, nor any other country, can survive this internal strife. Again I say, this does not mean that some of our politicians or media people are disloyal. It simply means that they are absolutely oblivious to the magnitude of the situation we are in and into which the Muslim terrorists have been pushing us, for many years. These people are a serious and dangerous liability to the war effort. We must take note of who they are and get them out of office.

Remember, the Muslim terrorists stated goal is to kill all infidels! That translates into ALL non-Muslims -- not just in the United States , but throughout the world. We are the last bastion of defense.We have been criticized for many years as being 'arrogant.' That charge is valid. We are arrogant in that we believe that we are so good, powerful and smart, that we can win the hearts and minds of all those who attack us, and that with both hands tied behind our back, we can defeat anything bad in the world! We can't! If we don't recognize this, our nation as we know it will not survive, and no other free country in the world will survive if we are defeated.And finally, name any Muslim countries throughout the world that allow freedom of speech, freedom of thought, freedom of religion, freedom of the press, equal rights for anyone -- let alone everyone, equal status or any status for women, or that have been productive in one single way that contributes to the good of the world.

This has been a long way of saying that we must be united on this war or we will be equated in the history books to the self-inflicted fall of the Roman Empire . If, that is, the Muslim leaders will allow history books to be written or read.

If we don't win this war right now, keep a close eye on how the Muslims take over France in the next 5 years or less. They will continue to increase the Muslim population of France and continue to encroach little by little, on the established French traditions.The French will be fighting among themselves, over what should or should not be done, which will continue to weaken them and keep them from any united resolve. Doesn't that sound eerily familiar?

Democracies don't have their freedoms taken away from them by some external military force. Instead, they give their freedoms away, politically correct piece by politically correct piece. And they are giving those freedoms away to those who have shown, worldwide that they abhor freedom and will not apply it to you or even to themselves, once they are in power.

Muslims have universally shown that when they have taken over, they then start brutally killing each other over whom will be the few who control the masses. What is happening in Iraq is a good example. Will we ever stop hearing from the politically correct, about the "peaceful Muslims"? I close on a hopeful note, by repeating what I said above. If we are united, there is no way that we can lose. I hope now, after the election, the factions in our country will begin to focus on the critical situation we are in, and will unite to save our country. It is your future we are talking about! Do whatever you can to preserve it. I reiterate. A national election is months away. After reading the above, we all must do this not only for ourselves, but our children, our grandchildren, our country and the world. Whether Democrat or Republican, conservative or liberal and that includes the Politicians and media of our country and the free world! Please forward this to any you feel may want, or NEED to read it. Our "leaders" in Congress ought to read it, too. There are those that find fault with our country, but it is obvious to anyone who truly thinks through this, that we must UNITE! Lastly, I wish to add: At the risk of offending someone, I sincerely think that anyone who rejects this as just another political rant, or doubts the seriousness of this issue or just deletes it without sending it on, is part of the problem. Let's quit laughing at and forwarding the jokes and cartoons which denigrate and ridicule our leaders in this war against terror. They are trying to protect the interests and well being of the US and it's citizens. Best we support them.

Rant # 16 May 7, 2008 Andy Griffiths teeth?

Welcome to the first blog. Up until now it's been an email list that has gone out to friends family and by invitation as it was forwarded around the country. Yesterday was primary day here in North Carolina, so a little recap.


Who Mark voted for:



I voted for the best Candidate for President on my ballot yesterday. He also happened to be a black man who never ran on his color, and has never been in a racist conflict like the Democrat, white Muslim, that happens to be half black, Barrack Hussein Obama.

Alan Keyes was the best man on my ballot. More conservative than McCain and Huckabee, and not quite as strange as Ron Paul.




Chicken Strip update;



Well Chicken Strip beat Joe McLaughin for the NC District 3 seat. We can start today to drop Chicken Strip in the grease.


Support the Democrat running against him and that will create a problem for the Democrats. Do they support the Republican they bought and paid for, or their fellow Democrat. A mini Operation Chaos, and what do we really lose if we lose Walter?

His sign says Freedom Fries. Back when he was a trying to act conservative he berated the French for their lack of help in Iraq. He took a tough stance and introduced a bill to change the name of French Fries to Freedom Fries. Way to go Walter.



NC Lt. Governor Race.





Robert Pittenger did win the Lt. Governor Republican Primary. He is the best candidate for this job this fall. He won with such dominance it makes one wonder if he shouldn't have been running for Governor.

I know this goes nationwide and maybe into other countries, but did anyone in NC but me notice how Andy of Mayberry's lower teeth fit. Every time I saw the commercial for Bev Perdue for Governor I slid closer to the TV, because in HDTV you almost think they are going to fall out right at your feet. I took to wearing a ball glove every time it played. Polident Andy.
